Dr Roberts : Advanced Hip Training – Advanced Orthopedics & Sports Medicine
Pursuing advanced training on hip care was a natural next step for Dr. Roberts.
Since many approaches to hip care exist, fully understanding the options set the foundation for providing comprehensive care, especially in hip arthroscopy.
Learning both different techniques from different surgeons was top of mind for Roberts in starting his orthopedic career.

At Centre Orthopédique Santy you can meet people of excellence in clinical and surgical practice…but also, and I think this is the best and winning quality of this group, you enter in a great family, where each one does his best to grow up together.
Everyday you have the opportunity of improve your professional and human qualities.
I will always be grateful to Dr. Laurent Nové-Josserand, to his team and to all the Santy’s group. »

Testimony of Dr Matt C. DAGGETT
(ancient fellow)
« When I finalized my plans to do a shoulder fellowship in Lyon, I knew it would be a great experience, but I didn’t know it would be the best experience of my career.
I learned so much about the shoulder and gained fresh perspectives on the treatment of internal impingement, instability, rotator cuff disease and arthritis. I was fortunate to participate in interesting research. »

Testimony of Dr Nikolaus Rosenstiel
(Fellowship Report)
« From December 2017 to June 2018 I got the chance to become a part of the Santy family.
A fellowship is an amazing opportunity to learn new things and meet inspiring people, little had I known what it means to become part of this family.
There was never a doubt that the center of all effort is the treatment of the patient. Out of this passion it is just logic to find solutions to scientific problems and the constant desire to gain more knowledge is palpable everywhere. »
Testimony of Dr Nuno Camelo Barbosa
(ancient fellow)
« I’m Nuno Camelo Barbosa a Portuguese Orthopaedic resident, and I completed a fellowship at the Centre Orthopédique Santy with Dr Bertrand Sonnery-Cottet for three months this year.
The fellowship was very well organized, we had 2 days of consultation, 2 days in operating room and one day was fully dedicated to scientific work.
The consultation begins at 7.45/8.00 and throughout it we discuss the patients physical examination, mcdts and clinical cases.
The operating room day normally starts at 7.00, during it we have the chance to observe and learn technical details of the procedure, between surgeries we often discuss recent literatures important topics.
We also are assigned scientific work. Generally we start with a meeting for introduction of the work, afterwards we collect the clinical data and do an extensive search of bibliography over the subject. Discussion about the scientific work is done on daily base which allows for constant advances in the scientific work.
In the 3 months I passed in Santy I was given the opportunity to enter in 6 scientific works (scientific articles). I greatly recommend the fellowship at Centre Orthopédique Santy. »
Case log of Dr Matthew F. Dilisio
(ancient visitor)
« My time with Dr. Walch, Dr. Neyton, and Dr. Godeneche was without question the highlight of my orthopaedic education.
The principles and techniques that I was taught in Lyon have become the basis of my understanding of shoulder surgery, and will I emulate Dr. Walch’s methods for the rest of my career.
When you operate with Dr. Walch, you understand why he is the standard to which so many surgeons around the world measure their ability as a surgeon. »
